Andras Nemeth Shipped Event #1 Of Triton Poker Series

Andras Nemeth defeated Laszlo Bujtas in heads up in Event #1: $50,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em at the Triton Poker Special Edition Series. Nemeth outlasted 82 runners and walked away with $1,082,000 from the total prize pool of $3,936,000. The runner-up cashed $770,000 in prize money. Talking about his victory Nemeth added, “It is so surreal to play for the very first time and win. I want to pinch myself. It is expensive, and I know a few guys who know how to play, and it seems very complicated. Winning this tournament helps. So maybe, We’ll see.” 

The heads-up play was an all-Hungarian match that did not last long. Nemeth’s pair of aces beat Bujtas’ king-queen. Some of the well-known players who made it to the top spots were Phil Ivey, Jason Koon, Stephen Chidwick, and Michael Addamo. Take a look at the top 11 payouts from the Triton event:

The Triton Series runs between 2nd – 7th April at the Merit Royal Hotel and Casino in North Cyprus. As per news reports, the series returns after the 2020 schedule of Bali and Russia got postponed. GGPoker is the official partner of Triton Poker for future live events. GGPoker will offer online satellites for the upcoming Triton Poker events under their partnership. The action from the upcoming events will be live-streamed on Twitch and YouTube channels via Triton Poker.
