Amit Kaushik Ships Opener At Silver Poker Festival In Hanoi

Well-known poker pro Amit Kaushik added one more live title to his credit. The IIT Roorkee graduate shipped the Opener title after beating Vietnamese player An Nguyen. In the final hand Kaushik’s A3o beat his rival’s KTo. Kaushik rivered a full boat (333,77) and took down the Opener title at the Silver Poker Festival. The series is being hosted at the Crown Poker Club in Hanoi. The live poker series runs from 17th to 23rd July 2023. Kaushik shared the happy news on his Instagram handle.

In the final hand of the game, Kaushik played with Ad 3s and Nguyen had Kc Td. Blinds were at 100K/150K big blind ante at 150K, the Vietnamese raised to 350K from the button position. 

Kaushik responded by going all-in from the big blind. Both players were now all-in and the dealer was ready to fan out the board.

The flop brought 3c 7d 7h 5c 3h. This meant it was game over for Nguyen and Kaushik was the one who had the last laugh. With the Opener win, Kaushik has boosted his live trophy tally.

This poker player from Kurukshetra, Haryana, has live titles to his name across series like Asian Poker Tour (APT), World Poker Tour (WPT) and Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT). Kaushik won live poker tournaments on both domestic and international felts which adds to his pro versatility. 

Not just live, Kaushik is an online reg too. The pro has shipped many online titles and has won a medal at PokerBaazi’s National Poker Series (NPS). The poker pro who is now based in Noida has 218 online titles. The pro who goes by the nickname ‘deshominisation’ has won over ₹16 Lakh for his second place finish at the IOPC Blaze Day 2 in 2022.
