Aleksandr Shevliakov Wins the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event

Aleksandr Shevliakov has etched his name in poker history. The Russian poker player snagged the EPT Monte-Carlo Main Event and took home the grand prize of €1,000,000 (₹9,42,11,000). With this, he becomes only the second Russian to win a poker tournament outside his home country, the first being Andrey Pateychuk, who had completed the feat in 2021, when he shipped Sam Remo.

Shevliakov has been going from strength to strength at the poker table. His first live cash-out came only in 2018, when he took home $1,709 at an NLH event of the 2018 World Series of Poker. He has had some cashouts at the WSOP and Triton Poker in his poker career. With this considerable amount in his kitty, the poker community is now looking forward to his next step.
