WSOP 2021: Abhinav Iyer, Aditya Agarwal, Two Others Make It To Day 3 Of ME

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event continued to run its course, with many hopeful players who survived Day 1a, 1b, and 1d returning to the action on Day 2ABD. In total, there were about 2,892 players that sat down to claim their spot on the next step to WSOP victory. Among these were nine players from the Indian contingent that made it to Day 2ABD.

Day 2ABD started with the Vidur Sethi holding the highest chips stack of 226,200 among the Indians. He was followed by Shashank Jain, who had 124,000 chips, WSOP bracelet winners Abhinav Iyer with 90,500 chips, Spartan Poker Team Pro Nikita Luther with 84,500 chips, and poker legend Aditya Agarwal with 70,300 chips. While Neel Joshi with 52,200 chips, poker coach Abhishek Goindi with 39,800, Arsh Grover with 35,400, and Anirudh Mudimela with 26,000 late registered on Day 2ABD.

Out of these, WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer once again proved his mettle by bagging a big stack of 410,900 chips in the 51st position at the end of Day 2ABD. This means that Iyer will progress onto Day 3, and accompanying him are Indian players Aditya Agarwal with 217,000 chips, Vidur Sethi with 183,400 chips, and Shashank Jain with 103,600 chips, who all move on to Day 3. Two-time bracelet winner Nipun Java also made it to Day 3 with 50, 100 chips. However, the rest of the Indian contingent, including players Arsh Grover, Neel Joshi, Nikita Luther, and Anirudh Mudimela, did not make it to Day 3.

Despite stiff competition, the Indian contingent continues to farewell this 2021 WSOP. The action remains as Indian players like poker pro, Muskan Sethi, Kalyan Cheekuri, Himmat Singh, and others battle for their spot-on Day 2CEF. Will a WSOP ME bracelet finally come home? Let’s wait and see.
