2022 WSOP: Norbert Szecsi Captures His 3rd Bracelet (Online)

As the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is underway at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas, the event also saw a lot of action on the online felts. The 2022 WSOP $5,300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller Freezeout event (online) was shipped by Norbert Szecsi. The online event first began with 218 entries and finally it was Szecsi who clinched the title for $288,850.

This is Szecsi’s third WSOP bracelet. He won his first two at the 2018 WSOP Europe Event #6 €1,650 Mixed Pot-Limit Omaha/No-Limit Hold’em for €86,956 (~$109,128) and at the 2013 WSOP Event #42: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em for a cash of $345,037.

The final table had players like three-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil “HeyGuys” Galfond finished 6th and took home $52,320. The runner-up was Tony “Panoramic” Dunst who walked away with a prize money of $168,950. The fifth place also went to another WSOP bracelet holder, Taylor “galactar” Paur who had a payday of $63,220.

In the final hand, Dunst went all-in with king-four offsuit and Szecsi called with ace-two offsuit. While Dunst flopped a pair with his four, his happiness was not long lived as Szecsi hit an Ace-pair on the turn. The river did not bring much help for Dunst and the bracelet went to Szecsi.
