2021 WSOP: Leo Margets, Mikita Badziakouski And Michael McCauley Win Bracelets


The 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is going on in full swing. Event #83: The Closer No-Limit Hold’em and Event #84: HIGH ROLLER Pot-Limit Omaha, Event #85: $50,000 High Roller and Event #86: Super Turbo No-Limit Hold’em for $1,61,384 concluded with four more poker players winning the coveted WSOP gold bracelet. 

Event #83: The Closer No-Limit Hold’em witnessed 1,903 entries. The event generated a final prize pool of $2,540,505. Spanish pro-player Leo Margets grabbed her first WSOP bracelet and prize money of $376,850. Margets became the first woman to win a bracelet in an open-entry event at the 2021 WSOP.

At Event #84: $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, Jeremy Ausmus won his third WSOP gold bracelet and $11,88,918 in prize money. Ausmus defeated top pros like Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu to claim the top spot. Hellmuth finished second for $7,34,807 and Negreanu finished third for $5,19,764.

In  Event #85: $50,000 High Roller, Belarus-based Mikita Badziakouski grabbed his first WSOP gold bracelet by beating an entry-field of 113. Badziakouski took home $14,62,043 by nailing this event. He defeated players like Ren Lin (2nd, $9,03,610), Daniel Negreanu (3rd, $6,61,041) and Jason Koon (4th, $4,89,585) to clinch his first WSOP bracelet.

Michael McCauley shipped Event #86: Super Turbo No-Limit Hold’em for $1,61,384. This win was McCauley’s first-ever WSOP title, and his first-ever cash at a WSOP event. Indian poker pro, Neel Joshi was also at the final table of this event. Joshi finished third for $99,742.

The WSOP series will soon come to an end, but the players are still battling it out with utmost zeal and vigour. It will be interesting to see which players grab the few remaining bracelets at the 2021 WSOP.
