2021 WSOP: Dhaval Mudgal Only Indian To Enter Day 3 Of Event #61

The Indian contingent at the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has been doing fairly well. The latest update comes from the ongoing Event #61: $600 Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold’em. Among the players that took part in this tourney, Indian poker pro Dhaval Mudgal is the only Indian to enter Day 3.

Another Indian player, Shuchi Chamaria, who was also grinding in this tourney, busted at the 57th position. Chamaria added $4,184 to his bankroll. Mudgal is among the 42 players who have successfully entered Day 3. He will enter Day 3 with 1,270,000, which is approximately 12 big blinds. The average chip count at this event is 2,942,250. Dhaval has a below-average chip count.

The $600 buy-in event witnessed 3,916 entries in total. After 27 Levels, the event has been paused and will resume from Level 28 on Day 3. Mudgal had earlier cashed in event #43 at 154th position for $3,124.

Other Indian players like Abhinav Iyer, Kunal Patni, Nikita Luther and Abhishek Goindi have also cashed at various events in the ongoing 2021 WSOP. It will be interesting to see if an Indian player bags the prestigious WSOP gold bracelet.
