2021 WSOP: Aditya Agarwal First Indian To Exit ME On Day 3

As the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) draws closer to the Main Event, the poker action in Las Vegas is getting more intense and more intriguing. After the successful completion of six starting flights on Day 2, more than 2000 entries made their way to Day 3 of the Main Event, which resumed earlier today.

Nine Indian players had successfully made their way to Day 3. The first among these to depart was poker pro Aditya Agarwal, marking the end of his WSOP Main Event dream this year. Agarwal had qualified for Day 3 from Day 2ABD  with a total stack size of 217,000 chips, which was the second-highest stack among the Indian contingent on Day 3. The pro player busted early on Day 3 at the 2302nd spot without making it in the money.

It is disheartening to see Agarwal leave the event, as he is one of the best poker players in India. Many in the Indian poker fraternity believed that Agarwal could win his maiden bracelet in the 2021 WSOP. Other Indian players continue to grind at this event keeping India’s hopes for a gold bracelet alive.
