Undoubtedly, the journey towards the final table was fierce. Hoping to make another addition to his poker career, the current WSOP Main Event champion Hossein Ensan fell short stack only to finish way earlier in the Event #8: €25,500 Platinum High Roller No-Limit Hold’em. High-Roller specialist Kahle Burns made the most of the given opportunity by taking away his first career bracelet in WSOPE at King’s Casino.
The entire tournament attracted 83 players, further narrowing down to 6 to play the final day. Ultimately, this brought Burns the greatest opportunity to win his first-ever gold bracelet. However, other players including Alex Foxen was the first to bust out at the showdown, finishing 6th for €95,962, bracelet winner Timothy Adams falling at 5th place for €128,362, while Britain’s Sam Trickett was playing against Burns in heads-up, battling for the prestigious gold bracelet.
However, Trickett began the day with a short stack and quickly shot up the leaderboard knocking out Adams followed by Hakim Zoufri allowing him to jump over Burns to take the lead. The final hand of the tournament saw Trickett holding 7s 4s against Burns’ Ks 4d and the board ran Jd Jh 5s 9h Js. The latter with King high ran to grab the enormous amount €596,883 and the WSOP bracelet. The Australian Burns is 3rd in Australia’s All-Time money list, with this win his total live earnings have now soared up to over $6.43 million.
