WSOPE 2019: 4 more events added

With the success of 50^th Annual World Poker Series in Las Vegas, there’s a lot of excitement for the upcoming World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). Recently, WSOP decided to add 4 more events to the schedule of the series which takes place at King’s Casino in Rozvadov.

Poker players who have been fascinated by multiple mixed tournaments, short deck, or no-limit must be looking forward to the additional 4 events which make a total of 15 bracelet events to be hosted. The buy-ins will range from €350 in the opening event, all the way up to €250,000 in the High Roller. The previous WSOP Europe witnessed more than 6,000 entries for a series prize pool of €21 million.

Beyond the traditional two-card NLHE and 4-card PLO action, there have been a few more additions like the $2,500 Short Deck and a pair of 8-game events, one for $2500 another $25,000. The past 2 years, the €100K Event recorded 95 and 132 entries respectively. The entire schedule of WSOPE has been expanded by 50%. NLHE occupied 7 of the 10 spots on the original schedule at King’s Casino. 

WSOP Europe 2019 Highlights:

1. October 13 – €350 Opener No-Limit Hold’em A – €220,700
2. October 16 – €250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold’em – €5,000,000
3. October 17 – €2,500 8-Game Mix – €250,000 
4. October 21 – €25,500 Mixed Games Championship – €1,000,000
5. October 24 – €2,500 Short Deck – €250,000

WSOP Vice-President Jack Effel in a Friday presser stated, “Leon [Tsoukernik] and his team have been great partners for WSOP Europe and while the dates of the 2019 event haven’t changed, we were able to find some room to add some exciting new events that will drive bigger prize pools and keep players busy.”
