WSOPC: Marius Gicovanu champions the Mixed Game Ring #10

The previous day wrapped up another tournament of the WSOP Europe Circuit. WSOPC NLH/Omaha Mixed Game took place at Kings’ Casino, Rozvadov and Romania’s Marius Gicovanu emerged victoriously to receive a prestigious ring, which was the tenth of the series.

WSOP Circuit is a smaller series but still guarantees over €2 million GTD, along with 15 gold rings and to be awarded. Yesterday’s tournament saw 95 entries who registered for a buy-in of €550 each. A prize pool of €45,125 was created which was shared among the top 11 players receiving a minimum paycheck of €1,128.

Sitting at 11th place in Romania’s All-Time money list with total live earnings of $915,716, Gicovanu was the winner of 2019 Bounty 8-Max in Merit Poker Retro, Kyrenia too. He earned his career-best live cash of $437,409 after finishing 2nd in PokerStars National Championship in Barcelona.

Other notable players include the 2017 PokerStars Open, PokerStars Festival Marbella champion Michal Janczarski (2nd), 2017 King’s Spring Cup, Rozvadov winner Gregor Martini (6th), King’s Saturday Night Tournament, WSOP International Circuit champion Maciej Kondraszuk (11th) and others.
