WSOP finalizes 50th anniversary schedule

Last month, World Series of Poker (WSOP) announced its exciting plans to host 2019 WSOP in a spectacular way, introducing some new structures, formats and events. Caesars Interactive Entertainment, WSOP’s parent company, had given a sneak peek into the beginnings of the schedule. The total prize pool of 2019 WSOP is expected to cross $200 million!

This month, WSOP added a few more events into the mix, like the Mini Main Event, an all-new Colossus and the Super Turbo Bounty. A few days later, it was announced that all NLH events in WSOP will have big blind ante, along with announcing a ‘Bracelet Winner Only’ event. Additionally, to commemorate the joyous occasion of golden anniversary, there will be a $500 ‘Golden Event’ in the mix too, named as the Big 50 NLHE.

A couple days ago, WSOP made the final changes in the schedule and added few more low-stakes events and finalized the entire 2019 WSOP schedule, which will run between 28th May – 16th July 2019 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Six $600-$800 NLH and PLO events have been added, culminating in the $600 Deepstack Championship with $500k guarantee on 25th June. A charity event has also been added to honour US military service members, called $500 ‘SALUTE to Warriors’ on 2nd July. The proceeds of this event will be donated to veteran organizations.

Jack Effel, Vice President of WSOP, said, “We hope everyone who loves the game of poker comes out to experience our big 50th. We are confident you will find an event or two to your liking, and hopefully one that allows you to raise the gold bracelet over your head at the end of it.

WSOP has something to suit every pocket. Buy-ins at Rio will start from as low as $70. The small-stakes one-day, non-bracelet deep stack series of events will also make a comeback this year. The $250 NLHE, $200 NLHE, $400 NLHE and $150 NLHE will also be featured daily in Rio. $250 PLO will also run every Sunday from 2nd June – 14th July.
