WSOP Europe: Shalom Kadosh leads Colossus Day 1E


A lot has been revealed and accomplished in the current World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) at King’s Casino, Rozvadov since its commencement. The mini-series marked the end of the most awaited Main Event, crowning Greece’s Alexandros Kolonias his first-ever career win. Besides, the last Event #15: The Colossus concluded Day 1E with another chip leader in Israel’s Shalom Kadosh.

The busiest sixth starting flight registered 171 entries, each paying a buy-in of €550, and only 15 survived the field moving further to Day 2. Kadosh bagged 717,000 chips, making a good run in his first-ever live tournament closely following Day 1C chip leader Sergii Karpov who bagged 732,000 chips. Day 1E saw German player Jan Wieckenberg with 449,000 chips and Yossi Dayan in the third place with 362,000 chips.

Other notable players making it through to Day 2 are Viktor Blom (324,000), Ondrej Lon (279,000) and Michal Mrakes (191,000). As the event progressed the action intensified, only 26 players managed to make money at the end of the night including Martin Gradl (17th, €918), Shmuel Nakash (20th, €796), Ondrej Houra (24th, €796) and Mark Mueller (26th, €796) and so on.

A lot of known players gave a shot but unfortunately ended their journey including 6-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu, 2-time bracelet winner Robert Campbell, 4-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb, and Anson Tsang, also the only Indian player in contention to bust was Tarun Goyal.

  1. Shalom Kadosh – 717,000
  2. Jan Wieckenberg – 449,000
  3. Yossi Dayan – 362,000
  4. Albert Turgeman – 352,000
  5. Filip Sochor – 335,000
  6. Viktor Blom – 324,000
  7. Tien Tam Nguyen – 288,000
  8. Jaroslav Martinec -260,000
  9. Ondrej Lon – 249,000
  10. Aviv Tzarum – 201,000

The 15th bracelet event hosted five starting flights so far, making a total of 687 entries, advancing to Day 2 on Sunday (3 November) scheduled to start at 3 pm local time at King’s Casino.
