WSOP 2024: Yasheel And Kavin Finish In Top 10 Of Event 44

Yasheel Doddanavar Bust Out Hand

Yasheel Doddanavar raised to 200,000 from middle position and Yunkyu Song from the cutoff position 3-bet to 700,000. Doddanavar matched.

The flop presented 8♦ 5♠ J♥ and Doddanavar checked his option. Song bet 500,000 and Doddanavar jammed 4,100,000.

“So sick,” exclaimed Song as he called. “Aces?” he asked, standing up from his chair.

  • Yasheel Doddanavar: J♣ T♣
  • Yunkyu Song: K♣ K♥

Song was relieved to see he was ahead. The 9♠ on the turn gave Doddanavar additional outs, but the 5♦ on the river did nothing for Doddanavar as he was eliminated in the sixth position for a payday of $79,676.

Kavin Shah’s Bust Out Hand

After Javier Gomez opened with 400,000, the action folded to Kavin Shah in the big blind position, who moved all-in.

“Sh*t,” Shah sighed as Gomez snap-called, putting him at risk. The community cards fell:  K♥ 5♠ 9♣ Q♥ 2♠

  • Kavin Shah: A♦ 7♦
  • Javier Gomez: A♣ K♠

Shah was left high and dry and the board did not show any card he would have wished for. Shah was sent to the payout desk in seventh place for $60,317.
