Kunal Patni’s journey in Event #60: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em came to an end on Day 3 in the 20th position for a payday of $24,697. Two other Indian players also cashed in this tournament. WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer took the 109th place for $7,146 while Yasheel Doddanavar claimed the 125th spot for a sum of $7,146. Both these players were eliminated on Day 2.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2024 is only getting better for Indian grinders. Amid Santhosh Suvarna’s spectacular win at the biggest event of the series—$250K Super High Roller, other Indian players are also performing their best in the event. One such pro is Kunal Patni. The Natural8 India brand ambassador ended Day 2 of Event #60: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em with the 11th highest stack of 1 Million chips.
KP as he is fondly known, managed to stifle competition throughout Day 2 of this tournament and finally grabbed an impressive stack of 1 Million chips to position himself as a strong contender ahead of Day 3. In one of the hands played by Kunal Patni, he locked horns against seasoned player Kristen Foxen. Check out how the hand unfolded.

The community cards fell: 10♠ 4♥ K♠ Q♠ 4♦ with more than 100,000 chips in the pot. Foxen made a river bet of 56,000 chips, targeting two rivals, but only Kunal Patni called that bet.

Foxen revealed A♦ 6♦ while Patni turned over Q♦ J♦ for two pairs. Comfortably securing the pot and boosting his stack to approximately 1,000,000, Patni was marching ahead like a boss. This NLH tourney has Tzur Levy as the end of Day 2 chip lead with a stack of 2,450,000.
Other Indians in the tournament included names like Abhinav Iyer (500,000), Yasheel Doddanavar (146,000), Gaurav Sood (53,500), Sriharsha Doddapaneni (41,500), Aditya Agarwal (38,500), Anshul Kulshrestha (25,500), Kartik Ved (busted).
So far, the $3K NLH has turned out well for the Indian grinders. But will they keep the momentum going on Day 3? Only time will tell. Stay tuned to Gutshot Magazine for all the updates on the above event and more.
