Day 19 of the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas was brimming with excitement and notable moments. Let us take a look at the newly crowned winners and players battling it out in tough fields for a shot at glory.
Timur Margolin secured his first WSOP bracelet in Event #36: $800 8-Handed No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack in record time. The final table took just four hours to play from nine players down to a winner. Agharazi Babayev finished as the runner-up, earning $228,321 for his efforts.

John Fauver claimed his first WSOP bracelet and a $681,998 prize by winning Event #37: $10,000 Big O Championship. Fauver navigated a tough field to emerge victorious.

UFC announcer Bruce Buffer made it to the final 13 in the $50k High Roller, while Scott Seiver is closing in on his second bracelet of the year as he leads the final 14 players in the $1,500 Razz event.

Event #38: $1,500 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold’em saw another 4,004 players join on Day 1B, bringing the total prize pool to $8,194,230. With one more day to go, the field stands at 6,363 entries, likely to surpass last year’s total of 8,317 entries. Changfeng Fan ended Day 1B as the chip leader with 1,403,500, ahead of Ryan Sullivan in second place with 915,000.

Notable players moving on to Day 2 include defending champion Braxton Dunaway, Faraz Jaka, Ana Marquez, Kathy Liebert, Shannon Shorr, Ryan Riess, Ebony Kenney, and 2018 Main Event Champion Jack Sinclair. When it came to Indian players making Day 2, we have names like Sanat Mehrotra, Aditya Sushant, Kunal Patni, Ashish Ahuja, Paawan Bansal, Kartik Ved, Ankit Wadhawan, Ashish Anilkumar, Abhinav Iyer, Kavin Shah, Sriharsha Doddapaneni, Gaurav Sood, Anil Adiani, Himmat Singh, and Indian-origin pro Ankit Ahuja and Nipun Java.
Bruce Buffer is in the thick of the action in Event #39: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em (8-Handed), currently sitting 13th in chips with 1,365,000.
He faces tough competition from poker elites such as Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Artur Martirosian, Chance Kornuth, Adrian Mateos, Sergio Aido, Jonathan Jaffe, Martin Kabrhel, Jesse Lonis, and defending champion Leon Sturm. The tournament resumes at 1 p.m. local time on June 16, with live streaming on PokerGO starting at 4 PM.

Event #41: $1,500 Mixed Double Board Bomb Pot began with 1,312 entries, and 167 players remain after 15 levels of play. The money bubble burst at 197 players.
Leading the pack is Dong Chen with 940,000 chips, followed by Gabriel Schroeder with 640,000. The remaining players are vying for a first-place prize of $270,820 from a total prize pool of $1,751,520. Day 2 resumes at 12 PM local time on 16th June.
Andrew “A.J.” Kelsall ended Day 1 of Event #42: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship with the chip lead, bagging 294,000 chips after winning a critical hand against Masashi Oya.
Event #90: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em Championship is down to 30 players.

The event began with nine players and grew to 74 entries by the end of the day, creating a prize pool of $688,200. Forty players survived Day 1, including Chad Eveslage, Yuri Dzivielevski, and Mori Eskandani. Defending champion Brian Yoon, who won his fifth bracelet in this event last year, also bagged chips for Day 2. The survivors and any new late registrants will return at 1 PM local time on 16th June.
