The World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2024 has been a stage for poker players to showcase their skills, and Day 15 was no exception. Phil Ivey has positioned himself to become an 11-time WSOP bracelet winner, while Daniel Negreanu has reached another Day 2. Let’s dive into the highlights of the day.
Stephen Winters made his WSOP debut a memorable one by winning Event #20: $300 Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Hold’em. He navigated through a massive field of 20,647 entrants and turned his $300 investment into a life-changing $401,210.
In Event #26: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em, Nick Schulman emerged victorious, earning his first bracelet in a Hold’em event. Schulman, who had previously won four bracelets in mixed game formats, pocketed $1,667,842, his largest WSOP cash and second-largest result ever.

Michael Christ added another bracelet to his collection by winning Event #27: $1,500 Big O. Despite admitting to pushing his luck throughout the tournament, Christ banked $306,884 for his impressive victory.
Event #29: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship has been reduced to a star-studded final 13 players. Eight of the remaining players have bracelets, five have multiple bracelets, seven are $25K Fantasy Draft picks, one is a Poker Hall of Famer, and the reigning champion is still in contention.

Danny Wong leads the pack, hoping to avenge his runner-up finish in 2021. Six-time bracelet winner Jason Mercier is second in chips, while Phil Ivey sits fifth, eyeing his 11th bracelet and a chance to surpass legends like Doyle Brunson, Erik Seidel, and Johnny Chan.
Andres Gonzalez has taken a commanding lead in Event #28: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout, with 25 big blinds more than his nearest rival, Nicolas Vayssieres. Fahredin Mustafov, Nick Maimone, and Ebony Kenney are among the notable players still in contention. Abhinav Iyer and Ankit Ahuja were the only two Indians grinding in Day 2 of this event but sadly neither of them could survive and make Day 3.
Daniel Negreanu finds himself in Day 2 of Event #30: $600 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha, despite his plans for a more limited WSOP schedule. Stephen Scuderi leads the pack, but faces stiff competition from the likes of Matt Glantz, Kevin Gerhart, and Josh Reichard.
Alexandre Reard is in the top 5 after Day 1 of Event #31: $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em, looking to add to his impressive bracelet collection. Jake Ripnick leads the field, with Daniel Lazrus, David Coleman, and Joe McKeehen also making it through to Day 2.
Event #32: $1,500 Seven Card Stud saw 406 players take to the field, with Burke Delange topping the chip counts at the end of Day 1. Notable players like Ren Lin, Adam Friedman, and Ari Engel will return for Day 2.
