WSOP 2022: Neymar Jr In ITM; Maiden Bracelet For Dealer Ramsey Stovall

Doing a job is no big deal, but learning from that job and grabbing a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet is something. Dealer turned gold bracelet winner Ramsey Stovall clinched his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet in Event #41: $1,000 Super Bounty No-Limit Hold’em for $191,223.

The event finally came to an end after 15 hours of play and a battle of 2,227 entries. The event had a prize pool of $1,313,930 which was enjoyed by the top 335 players. 

Talking to PokerNews about his victory, Stovall said, “It hasn’t quite sunk in. I was supposed to work today, but my manager told me to ‘go get’ em’ and come in on your day off instead.” Stovall entered the final table with the second-largest stack. He scored a double bust-out and successfully eliminated four out of the five players on the final table (FT) to enter the heads-up session with a massive stack. Heads-up with Timothy Heng lasted for just five hands. Heng finished at the runner-up spot and took home $87,047 in prize money.

Stovall’s rail cheered as he won the tournament and stepped ahead for a giant group hug. “I couldn’t have asked for a better rail,” said Stovall, who said the rail included his friends and family surrounding him. This event also marked the maiden WSOP cash for Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr., who cashed at the 49th spot for $3,959.
