WPT Prime India 2023 Main Event Race Kick-Starts!

The World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime India 2023 is finally happening at the spectacular Deltin Royale Casino in Goa after a three-year-long hiatus. The series, which is scheduled to take place between the 12th to 18th April 2023 has so far witnessed an overwhelming response from the poker players across the country.

Like any other poker series, the major attraction is the highly anticipated Main Event. The Main Event features three starting flights leading to Day 2. The Day 1 flights will run between 12th to 15th April 2023. Players can play the Main Event for a buy-in of ₹65,000. Players who progress from the three starting flights will then return for Day 2, which is to be held on 16th April 2023 at 1 PM. Day 2 will be paused once the event has got its final tablists, who will then return one last time to play Day 3 on 17th April 2023 at 1 PM. Each player will get a starting stack of 30,000 chips. The late registrations for Day 1 A, B and C will be closed at the start of Level 7 (approximately 5.30 PM) on each of the three days. The players will have 15-minute breaks after every three levels on each of the Day 1 flights. On Day 2 and Day 3, players get a 15-minute break after every two levels.

The organisers have decided to payout 12.5% of the entry filed. This means approximately 1 out of 8 entries will be paid out. The final payouts will be announced after the end of Day 1.
