WPT Prime Cambodia 2023: Javen Saigal And Vineet Kumar Cash At The 1st Event


The World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Cambodia 2023 has kick-started at the Nagaworld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh. The first event on the schedule the Nagaworld Superstack 50K has concluded. And guess what? The Indian contingent has opened their account at the series, with two Indian players cashing in the first event.

APT Philippines 2022 NLH winner Jasven Saigal and Vineet Kumar are the two Indians who had progressed to Day 2 of the event, and managed to make it in the money. While Saigal busted at the 25th spot, Kumar made it to the final table of the event and busted at the seventh place. 

The $300 buy-in event saw a total of 202 entries (168 entries and 34 re-entries) battling across two days for a final prize pool of $53,884. The top 26 players ensured a place in the money taking home a min-cash of $403.

Vietnam’s Huyen Duc Luu beat Chi Ling Tsang in the heads-up to claim his first-ever international poker title. With he win, he now leads the Player of the Festival race. Know more about the entire list of WPT Prime Cambodia 2023 winners here

Saigal shared his progress to Day 2 on his Instagram stories.

We got in touch with Saigal, and he informed us that he busted soon after at the 25th place and that Kumar has made it to the FT and finished sixth. Saigal cashed $403 for his 25th place finish, while Kumar pocketed $1,832 for his final table finish.
