WPT Online 2021: Doddapaneni & Wadhawan Clinched Winning Titles On Adda52


Day 4 of the World Poker Tour (WPT) saw two pro players from the Indian poker circuit clinch titles, namely Sriharsha Doddapaneni and Ankit Wadhawan. Doddapaneni cashed an impressive ₹4,42,000 in prize money and became the biggest winner of the night. Here’s a recap of all the action that went down on the virtual felts of Adda52 last night. 

WPT  Wednesday Rush – ₹20 Lakh GTD

Online reg Ankit Wadhawan struck a deal with pro player Sreekanth Narayan in the first event that took place on day 4. Wadhawan cashed ₹3,85,213 while Narayan took home ₹3,83,787. The tournament had 731 entries in total and the top 82 players were paid a min-cash of ₹4,400 in this ₹2750 buy-in tourney.

Several notable grinders finished in the money in this event, namely, Sagar Choudhury (4th, ₹1,32,000), Umang Kakarania (5th, ₹89,000), Aman Parakh (10th, ₹23,000), Vinay Rajpal (12th, ₹20,000), India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021 commentator Kanchan Sharma (26th, 12,000), Advait Rajguru (34th, ₹10,000), Shashank Desai (41st, ₹8000) among others.

  •             Places paid: 82
  •             Min-Cash: ₹4,400

WPT Deepstack – ₹17 Lakh GTD

This Deepstack tournament was the second event on day 4. The ₹7,500 buy-in event was shipped by poker pro Sriharsha Doddapaneni aka ‘Ivey2.’ This pro received a pay cheque of ₹4,42,000. The event had 249 entries in total and the top 27 players were paid a min-cash of ₹15,300.

WPT Moonlight – ₹6 Lakh GTD

The last event of day 4 had 317 entries in total. This ₹1,800 buy-in event was shipped by a mystery player ‘FuckedUpLife’ who took home ₹1,50,000 in prize money. The top 34 players from the field were paid a min-cash of ₹4,200.
