WPT Day 28: Mystery Player Wins Main Event, Ankita Ajay Ships WPT Unreal


Adda52 drew curtains on World Poker Tour (WPT) amid high drama on Sunday, 29th August. The virtual felts of Adda52 were bustling with energy thanks to the Main Event. The final day of WPT had two major events—Main Event, ₹3 Crore GTD and Unreal event, ₹1 Crore GTD. WPT Main Event was shipped by a mystery player called ‘dimaria7.′ The Unreal tournament was won by Ankita Ajay. These are just the highlights. Let’s do a quick recap of all the action that unfolded yesterday.

Main Event – ₹3 Crore GTD

WPT Main Event had a competitive field. 227 survivors battled it out for the Main Event title. Poker pros flooded the virtual felts to grab the title spot. 197 players finished in the money. A min-cash of ₹56,121 was paid. Mystery player who goes by the moniker ‘dimaria7’ shipped the Main Event. This player took a pay cheque of ₹47,45,478 and walked away like a boss. National Poker Series (NPS) Main Event winner Mohammad Azhar aka ‘Blankspace’ was the runner-up who cashed ₹34,09,320 in prize money. The second runner-up was Ram Kakkar aka ‘mowgumotu,’ who received a pay cheque of ₹24,51,330.

WPT Unreal Final – ₹1 Crore GTD

The Unreal Final tournament had a competitive field. The event had 2048 survivors in total. This event was shipped by Ankita Ajay aka ‘ankumalik’ who had a pay day of ₹15,00,000. The advertised guarantee of this tournament was surpassed by a slim margin and the final prize pool stood at ₹1,00,00,300.

WPT 3000 – ₹15 Lakh GTD

This ₹15 Lakh tournament on WPT had 719 entries in total. The top 72 players finished in the money. This event was shipped by Manesh Rathod aka ‘TEAMfromHELL’ who added ₹4,90,358 to his bankroll. The advertised guarantee of this tournament was crushed and the final prize pool stood at ₹19,61,432.
