Just a couple of days ago, Paulina Loeliger, also commonly known as ‘Poker Bunny’ exited the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) 2023 Main Event in the most ungraceful and unexpected way. Her move created a lot of stir on the internet and had the netizens divided.
Poker Bunny called an all-in bet by her rival with just a 3-pair and was defeated by Daniel Custodio, who had three of a kind. After realizing that Custodio had won the hand and that she was eliminated, she tried to muck her cards and leaned forwards to pull the chips back from the table. She was stopped by the dealer, after which she stepped back, picked up her bag and left the table.
After the incident surfaced, a lot of users defended Loeliger, saying she was simply trying to muck her cards and that her behaviour was not wrong. On the other hand, others criticized her and pointed out that this wasn’t the first time when she had indulged in such acts. Poker Bunny has a history of controversial behaviour on the poker tables.

Amidst all the conversations that were happening about the incident on social media, one specific post that caught our eye on Twitter was by poker player Nick Marchington. The English player took the effort to draw a comparison between how differently poker G.O.A.T Phil Ivey and Poker Bunny exited the PCA Main Event by mucking.
He shared screenshots of both players exiting the event on separate occasions, as reported by PokerNews. “What is different?,” he wrote, leaving the conversation open.

As per the screenshots, Ivey lost the hand in a similar fashion against Kevin Rabichow’s flush. Ivey, like Loeliger, did not want to show his cards, and therefore mucked his cards and left the tournament.
On the other hand, Loeliger pushed her cards face down under the deck to muck and then moved one card back towards her and attempted the same with the other card too. However, the dealer had grabbed it. In this conflict, her cards were revealed.
Naturally, the post received a lot of replies and reactions, including one from Ivey’s opponent Rabichow.
Lol this hand definitely came to mind as I scrolled Twitter today

Some users try to defend Poker Bunny, saying that what she did was similar to what Ivey did, but the latter wasn’t questioned just because he is an established player. But we wonder if Ivey would resort to the same antics as Poker Bunny? We doubt it!
Believe it or not, certain people get treated with more respect because they have earned it, and certain people get treated less respect because they haven't. Either way, yeah, it happens every once in a great while. Except with poker bunny stuff like this happens all the time

I don't think the dealer would have attempted to stop Ivey if he did this.

One is probably backed. One probably isn't.

The major difference is one is Phil Ivey so they're not going to write a headline like that for him.

There were others who pointed out that the problem wasn’t with Loeliger’s mucking action that was wrong, but instead what she did after that.
Ivey didn’t wrestle with the dealer I guess..

trying to take the cards back or do extra stuff with them. both pushed them in the muck. but Ivey then got up and left.
