What would a PUBG comeback in India look like!

My little brother squeaked on the eve of Diwali. Little did we know, that this fellow was excited for the return of his favourite game, ‘PUBG’. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed by PUBG Corporation. PUBG Mobile, predominantly played in India was banned in the month of September along with 117 other Chinese apps.

PUBG was welcomed with open arms as it grabbed the attention of lakhs of youth across our country. The ban was a personal loss for some while others hoped it would be back any day. PUBG India has recently announced that they will make a comeback in India during this month. Here’s what is on their YouTube channel :

Why PUBG stood out among others?

  • User Interface is very player friendly, lets you voice chat with other gamers.
  • Well defined graphics
  • Every Royal pass helps the player update the game

These are just a few unique features compared to the hundred others that the game provided. The game has also been a boost for a new career to pave its path and multiple other progresses. PUBG was one of the precursors for Esports to bloom to such an extent in India. It also gave rise a group of ‘Streamers’ that played and streamed their games on YouTube. PUBG tournaments also took place on the International level.

What can we expect when the game returns?

  • An Indian subsidiary to enhance communications and services with players
  • Collaborating with local businesses to strengthen its service
  • Build a healthy gameplay environment, mainly to reflect local needs
  • Customized for Indian gamers, such as new characters automatically starting clothed, and green hit effects

PUBG Corp has also said that privacy and security of Indian players data is their top priority. With all the hush-hush around, we would only want to believe that the game could be back at the earliest! For our December e-magazine, we will be talking with a Content Creator who has a very close association to the game PUBG . Stay tuned folks!
