Vishrant Goyal Wins DPT July 2023 Super Hold’em Turbo

The Super Hold’em Turbo event has concluded, with Vishrant Goyal winning the DPT Super Holdem Title. Goyal overcame a field of 90 entries. Finally, he beat Tejas Mode in the heads-up battle.

The event attracted a total of 90 players, including 18 re-entries, contributing to the final prize pool of ₹16,38,000. The top 12 players shared a portion of this prize pool by making in the money and grabbed a min-cash of ₹32,760. This is also Goyal’s first-ever live title of his career. 

The event had some notable names and faces like Harsh Dev, Gurpal Singh, Shravan Chhabria, Aniruddha Joshi, Vinay Rajpal, Siddharth Jolly, online reg Ranjeet Negi and others, who were also in contention.

The final two players, Vishrant Goyal and Tejas Mode, struck a deal and decided to chop the prize money. In the final hand, Vishrant open-shoved from the button while Mode called from BB. Mode showed 992, while Goyal showed TK8. The board ran out to 8 6 4 T 5, giving Goyal two pairs for the win.

Goyal lifted the DPT trophy along with the prize of ₹3,25,000. Mode, too, cashed the same amount for his runner-up finish according to the deal. What was more interesting is that Goyal entered the FT with second-lowest stack.
