Vincent ‘Wonky’ Wan ships Aussie Millions 2020 Main Event

Each year, live poker action kicks off in the Australian continent with the annual Aussie Millions series and it keeps getting bigger and better by the year. This year was no different as players from all across the world descended to the Crown Casino in Melbourne to be a part of the festivities at the 2020 Aussie Millions.

Now, it’s all done and dusted as the final and the most talked about tournament came to an end last night. The AUD 10,600 Aussie Millions Main Event attracted a massive field of 820 entries and a prize pool of AUD 8.2 million, with the final table resuming last night in Melbourne.

There were multiple nationalities on the final table but the player to go on to ship it was local boy Vincent Wan who bagged a massive prize of AUD 1,318,000 (~INR 6.42 Crore), sealing the deal after a 3-way deal with Tai Hoang and Gareth Pepper. They were nearly equal in chips and the runner-up took home the same prize as Wan, while Pepper bagged AUD 1 million for finishing third.

“It’s destiny boys! Destiny! I’m lost for words. I’m just tripping out at the moment. I was just wanting to min-cash at one point so I’m struggling; I’m just delirious at the moment. I can’t believe my luck. Thank you to all the other players. Basically, it’s ten years of my life just grinding and working and trying to get here. I can’t believe I did it,” he said to Crown Melbourne TD, Joel Williams.
