Viktor Blom grabs SHRB Online title on partypoker!


The online poker action is heating up across the major poker rooms in the world. Top brands like World Poker Tour (WPT), World Series of Poker (WSOP), PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) and Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB) have joined hands with online poker sites to keep the fun moving. Yesterday SHRB Online saw well-known player Viktor Blom walking out with a title and a runner-up finish on partypoker. The Swedish superstar nearly won a hefty $580,000!

Event #8: $25,500 buy-in Super High Roller

Event 8 Super High Roller attracted a total number of 68 entries after each one chipped in $25,000 as buy-in. This ultimately led to the creation of a juicy $1.70 million prize pool. The first casualty among the final 8 players was Darrell Goh who settled for $63K followed by Orpen Kisacikoglu and Giuseppe Iadisernia in 7th and 6th position. Next in line was poker pro Alex Foxen who left the table in 5th place for $119K. Soon after the departure of 2 other players heads-up got underway between Dan Smith and Viktor Blom. After battling for some time, Smith outlasted Blom and captured $527K for his victory while Blom secured $365K for his efforts.

Event #9: $10,300 buy-in High Roller

Well, the day didn’t end right there after second place finish in event 8 for Blom. Event 9 drew a total of 75 entries for a buy-in of $10,300, collecting a prize pool of $750K. This time Smith walked away from the table in 8th position for $26K, once again, Goh departed in 7th place. It was poker pro Kristen Bicknell to drive away in 5th place for $52K.

Heads-up play started between Christoph Vogelsang and Viktor Blom after dismissal of Arnaud Enselme in 3rd position.  The latter defeated the former to clinch to the valuable title along with $213,000 in cash prize while his opponent Vogelsang settled in the runner-up position taking home $146K.

The Swedish player and champ sits 7th in Sweden’s all-time money list with over $2.9 million in total live winnings. It was only in February 2020 that he claimed the Unibet Battle Royale title in Unibet Open, Dublin.
