Vikram Kumar Joins Hands With Cadillac Casino To Start Poker Operations

Thanks to poker veteran and player Vikram Kumar, India might soon have a one-of-a-kind poker school. The poker operator recently partnered with high stakes cash game pro Santhosh Suvarna, who formerly operated Rockets Poker room in Bengaluru. Through the partnership, the two will start poker operations in the Cadillac Casino located at DoubleTree by Hilton, Goa.

Vikram Kumar, who goes by the moniker ‘Lungi’ was signed as a PokerBaazi Team Pro eight years after he started playing poker. PokerBaazi LIVE poker room then got him on board as a strategic consultant at their offline poker room in Bengaluru. He later also collaborated with PokerBaazi LIVE poker room in Goa in the year 2019. 

On the other hand, Santhosh Suvarna is a well-known and leading name in India’s poker operators circuit. He headed the Rockets Poker Room in Bengaluru and has different business interests in the poker industry. 

The Cadillac Casino, which is located in the Goan capital of Panaji, was launched in March 2022. Currently, the casino offers games such as Andar Bahar and Roulette, among others. The partnership of the veterans with the casino will start poker operations too in the casino.

While talking to one of the poker news platforms, Kumar hinted at starting a one-of-a-kind poker school and offering poker at the casino on a digital platform. He was quoted saying, “I would be starting a poker school. I am in the process of preparing the curriculum and also getting the team together to deliver this. The poker school will be one of a kind and will be functional at the DoubleTree Hilton Cadillac Casino. I will oversee the operations, and we will have poker on a digital platform. The business in Goa is flourishing, and my immediate plan is the expansion of Cadillac Casino and providing better facilities to the poker community.”

We reached out to Kumar to know when we can expect the operations to begin. He said, “If COVID-19 permits, the poker operations at the Cadillac Casino are all set to start from Republic Day (26th January).”
