She ended up attending Duke University and took a minor in Political Science and a major in Economics. Rousso had briefly dropped out of law school to pursue poker more seriously. She returned to college to finish her law degree and graduated in the spring of 2018.

This female poker pro who has been into poker since she was five years old, saved her winnings from a 2005 game to pay a $1,500 entry fee in Atlantic City and managed to spin into a $17,500 payday. This prize money then helped her fund her next buy-in at the World Poker Tour event in Las Vegas.

With multiple in-the-money tournament finishes, Rousso recorded a seventh-place finish to win $263,625 in the $25.000 Five Star World Poker Classic, a part of the WPT Event. She became a notable poker player since then and was also a part of a famous televised poker show named Big Game TV between 2006 – 2015. 

Hosted by Amanda Leatherman, the show featured the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Laak, Vanessa Selbst, Antonio Esfandiari, Liv Boeree, David Williams, Igor Kurganov and Scott Seiver. With poker nicknames of Lady Maverick and Pokernes, she was one of the top five women in poker history, citing her $700,000+ win for a second-place spot in the World Championship of Online Poker in 2007.

The Miami resident also went on to win the Gus and the Ladies Entry event in Poker After Dark (PAD) Season III for $120,000 in 2008. Next year, Rousso also played at the World Poker Tour Season VII Southern Poker Championship and finished seventh to earn $79,117. 

She went on to record her best ever live cash by winning the €25,000 + 500 No Limit Hold’em – European High Roller Championship at European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo for €532,500 ($700,160). She has gone on to record multiple high-value cashes to be among the top 600 players according to Hendon Mob’s All Time Money List.
