Tuesday Roundup: Aniket Waghmare and Nabin Bhakat clinch titles on Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker offers massive deals and huge prize pools almost everyday. Tournaments that took place on Tuesday saw big players fighting for mammoth prize pools. Let’s take a look at what went down yesterday:

Mega Stack – Millionaire Bubble – 16 Lakh GTD

This Mega Stack was a INR 3,300 buy-in tournament. The advertised prize pool was crushed and an even bigger prize pool was formed. Poker pro and India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) Millionaire United winner Aniket Waghmare aka ‘Ntwadumela’ shipped this Mega Stack tournament. Waghmare took home a pay cheque of INR 3,38,541 along with a ticket to the Millionaire tournament. He was followed by ‘louis02’ and he took home INR 2,15,040 in prize money. Aniket was last seen in the IOPC where he won the IOPC Millionaire Legends and the Mastermind title.

During the Mega Stack tournament, ‘louis02’ and Waghmare were dealt K♥ A♦ and T♣ T♦ respectively. During the pre-flop stage, ‘louis02 raises and goes all in while Waghmare calls the bet. The board opened with, T♠ 5♦ 2♥ 2♠4♥. During the showdown, Waghmare shipped the tournament with a Full House while ‘louis02’ only had a pair.

 The Race – 6.5 Lakh GTD

This INR 1,650 buy-in tournament had 438 entries. Nabin Bhakat aka ‘Nkb77’ shipped the tournament and took home INR 1,31,728 in prize money. He was followed by ‘kendralust’ who won INR 87,578. In level #44 of the tournament, ‘kendralust’ was dealt K♠ K♣, while Bhakat was dealt 7♥ 7♣. Both of them went all-in during the pre flop. The community cards were, 4♥ 7♠ Q♠ 5♥7♦. Bhakat shipped the tournament as he had four of a kind and a better hand as compared to that of ‘kendralust.’
