Triton Poker Jeju 2024: Fedor Holz Ships Event 1 For Over $700K

Fedor Holz who is fondly known as the young prince in the international poker circuit has nailed his career’s fourth Triton Poker Series title. Holz is grinding at Triton Poker’s Jeju stop for the second time now and has managed to secure a win in the very first tournament i.e. Event #1 $15K NLH – 8 Handed for a payday of $786,000.

The German pro was up against Seth Gottlieb who was looking to secure his second Triton Poker Series trophy. But sadly for the digital marketing executive, the dream of winning his second Triton title did not come true and he settled for the runner-up position for $500K. 

Triton Poker Series Jeju 2024: Event #1 $15K NLH – 8 Handed

This event had a total of 269 entries which led to the prize pool settling at $4,035,000. The top 47 players got paid in the tournament and the min-cash was $23,000. The tournament was quite power-packed with names like Nick Petrangelo, Seth Davies, Isaac Haxton, Michael Soyza, Timothy Adams, World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2022 Main Event winner, Espen Jorstad, Stephen Chidwick among others vying for the top spot.

Final Hand

In the final hand of the heads-up session, Holz had Fishhooks while his rival had QTo. Both players were all-in pre-flop and the Jacks did a good job of holding water for Holz. The Pokercode founder and coach was jubilant on winning the tournament. 

He said, “The five-eight hand I got lucky and I’m really happy about that.” This particular hand Holz spoke about saw him crack Gottlieb’s pocket aces like a boss when the river card brought a miraculous 5 which gave the German player three of a kind against his rival’s two pairs. From here on, the game went downhill for Gottlieb and Holz kept his domination going.

With Fedor winning the first event in the Triton Poker Series Jeju 2024, we are hopeful of seeing him ship more events and add to his Triton Poker trophy tally.
