‘Tiger10’ wins himself Destiny 10L Europe Trip on Spartan

After ten weeks of one Destiny winner being crowned every Wednesday night on The Spartan Poker, the excitement was building as we were getting set for the Destiny 6.0 Finale to take place. Some of the best players made it to the Destiny Finale SnG that took place yesterday evening at 6:30pm and you can get a list of all the participants here.

Each of these players had INR 1 lakh deducted from their respective tournament winnings as a ticket towards the Finale SnG, where only 10 players were given entry to a winner-takes-all competition. Here, the person who outlasted everyone else would win an INR 10 lakh package trip to play poker in Europe.

‘helkul’ seemed to be a big contender as he won the opening Destiny 6.0 tournament, and then followed it up with a runner-up finish the very next week, thus narrowly missing out on a double starting stack in the Finale. However, he was the first to exit the tournament, which later turned out to be a pretty short one.

3 hours and 44 minutes is all it took for us to have our winner in ‘Tiger10’ – someone who has been enjoying a dream run in online poker at the moment. On Spartan itself, he has cashed several times in the last couple of months, while also shipping The Elite a couple of days back.

Tiger10 became the 9th person to make the Finale and last night, he beat veteran poker player Meherzad Munsaf aka ‘al capone’ in heads-up. Prior to the final hand, Tiger10 had gained a chip lead of over 16:1 and it was just a matter of time before he took home top honours. Here, he shoved with Ah Th and the call was made by Munsaf, who had Qh 6h. The board ran dry for both players, with 7s 2s Jd 4d 3c opening and Tiger10 winning with high card, Ace.

Gutshot caught up with Tiger10 after this victory and this player wishes to keep his identity unrevealed until he completes his education. He said, “It feels amazing to win such a big tournament on The Spartan Poker. I played really well and was running good also, so it was a smooth journey till the top. Of course, the Destiny series is amazing, and Spartan is organizing some great tourneys. I wish they organize more and more such events in the future.”

Talking about winning the Europe poker package, he said, “Not sure as yet if I want to claim the Europe package trip, considering that I don’t have any experience of live poker.
