Thursday Roundup: Malik, Sriharsha, Madan dominate the day!


The weekend is almost here, and the poker community is waiting impatiently for bigger tournaments! The Thursday fever caught attention of numerous players but only a few could dominate the day and claim big. Thursday Roundup brings to you the major tournaments played last night across the virtual poker felts of the country. So, keep reading to unveil the champions!

Ultron

Featuring INR 20 Lakhs GTD Ultron on Spartan Poker is the signature Thursday tourney. The event kicked off last night garnering 645 runners, successfully smashing the advertised guarantee and accumulating INR 25.80 Lakh in prize pool. The top 63 players ended locking at least INR 11K. Racing to grab the latest Ultron title was Rishab Malik aka ‘NoChan3’ who claimed the top prize after defeating ‘Tiger10’ in heads-up.

Game Changer

The biggest attraction on PokerBaazi is currently underway, the 3rd edition of Game Changer INR 2 Crore GTD. At 8 pm, Day 1B commenced fetching a massive field of 1,033 out of which only 125 secured a seat to Day 2. Topping the list was ‘Maahi13’ who fired three bullets and collected a stack of 3.6L. The chip leader is followed by ‘Wobbegong’ in second place with 3.38L and Harshad Barve aka ‘omglukbox’ in third place bagging 3.1L. Yet Jayant Makkar from Day 1A remains the overall chip leader.

Thursday MonsterStack

With a buy-in of INR 2,750, PokerBaazi’s Thursday MonsterStack INR 5 Lakh GTD pulled in 273 entries. The event drew a final prize pool of INR 6.83 Lakh which was shared among the top 36 players. It was ‘DEEPAKALLIN’ who captured the first prize of INR 1.51 Lakh. Akshay Dhingra aka ‘fsociety’ secured the second-place payout of INR 1.06 Lakh.

Highroller

PokerStars India hosted Thursday flagship event INR 15 Lakh GTD Highroller. The INR 7,700 buy-in tourney clocked in 227 entries to collect a slightly bigger prize pool of INR 15.89 Lakh. Ultimately, Sriharsha Doddapaneni aka ‘1II|1|1|II1|’ came out on top conquering the field and taking home a valuable title along with INR 3.06 Lakh in cash prize. The champion defeated Rubin Labroo aka ‘kornkid4’ in heads-up who managed to walk out with INR 2.26 Lakh for finishing second.

Battle Royale Mini

INR 2,750 was the buy-in to Battle Royale Mini INR 5 Lakh GTD on PokerStars India. The top 34 players grabbed a slice from INR 5.40 Lakh prize pool. Vishal Madan aka ‘DeadGrinder1’ championed the event and eventually clinched to first place prize money of INR 53,017 after eliminating his opponent ‘sexylady’ in heads-up. The latter secured INR 39,054.
