After an action-packed week we are now heading towards the weekend. The biggest attraction last night was Adda52’s Godfather INR 30L GTD followed by Spartan Poker’s Ultron INR 22L GTD and PokerBaazi’s INR 20L GTD The Summit. Other marquee events also performed quite well. So, let’s quickly do a complete recap of yesterday and talk about who came out on top.
The Thursday headliner on Spartan Poker was the INR 4,400 buy-in INR 22 Lakhs GTD Ultron, which logged in 563 entries last night, striding well past the mark to generate INR 22.52 Lakhs in prize pool. Coming out on top was ‘ElegantlyWasted’ who knocked out site reg ‘dorasingh’ in heads-up to clinch to the first-place cash prize. The top 55 players returned home with a min-cash.
Spartan Poker’s Freezeout Master Series (FMS) scheduled between 20 to 23 August is offering INR 1+ Crore GTD. Yesterday hosted FMS #4 INR 4 Lakhs GTD that clocked in 124 entries for INR 3,300. The last man standing at 3:18 am was Rishab Jain aka ‘rishabjain1983’ who outlasted ‘varonir’ in heads-up. On Monday, Jain took down ReCharge after powering through a field of 400+ entries. Pranav Khandalkar aka ‘pranavpoker’ finished in the third place.
PokerBaazi’s Thursday prime time tourney, the INR 20 Lakhs GTD The Summit, drew 246 entries. The INR 8,250 buy-in event began at 8 pm, and it took nearly seven and a half hours to conclude. Battling his way to the top was Shagun Jain aka ‘sogani22’ who captured INR 4.71 Lakhs in top prize after eliminating ‘md20’ in heads-up. The latter earned INR 3.3 Lakhs for finishing 2nd. Romit Advani aka ‘tilt83’ ended up 3rd for INR 2.12 Lakhs, Dhinesh Kumar aka ‘dhineshrocky007’ earned INR 1.57 Lakhs for 4th place.
The INR 5 Lakhs GTD Grinders #19 Thursday MonsterStack on PokerBaazi pulled in 218 runners to witness a fruitful prize pool of INR 5.45 Lakhs. The top 27 places went out with INR 4,523 as min-cash. Racing past the competition was Sanish Chhabra aka ‘Sanish21’ who collected the most significant chunk after knocking out his opponent Kiran YK aka ‘pocketjs’ in heads-up. The winner pocketed INR 1.28 Lakhs in prize money while Kiran banked INR 89,980.
Online grinder Arsh Grover aka ‘BigggTymeR’ took down Godfather INR 30 Lakhs GTD on Adda52. Grover ran past a field of 594 runners and pocketed INR 5.82 Lakhs in prize money. The top 63 players finished ITM for INR 12,750 as min-cash. Taking home the second place payout of INR 5.33 Lakhs was Rohit Mishra aka ‘rohit22rm’.
Another massive event on Adda52 was Table for 6 INR 5 Lakhs GTD that attracted 213 runners. Each player chipped in INR 2,750 but only the top 21 could turn that into a min-cash. After finishing runner-up in Thursday flagship Godfather, Rohit Mishra aka ‘rohit22rm’ came out victorious with a winner’s paycheque of INR 1.11 Lakhs. ‘himanshu_s’ collected INR 1.03 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. The prize pool was easily surpassed, and 21 players added at least INR 4,793 min-cash to their poker bankroll.
Grabbing the spotlight on PokerStars India was the INR 5 Lakhs GTD Battle Royale Mini. Sporting a buy-in of INR 2,750, the event registered 194 entries. Capturing the title along with the top prize was ‘drpokerabc’ after the players settled for a heads-up deal. The mystery player captured INR 45,421 while his opponent Vishal Madan aka ‘DeadGrinder1’ added INR 43,940 to his bankroll for finishing second.
