The 2018 Poker Masters kicks off at ARIA

Poker Central and the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas made a joint announcement in June that the prestigious Poker Masters would return to the ARIA in September, and indeed it did. The series is Season 2 of the Poker Masters and it has returned 7 high stakes events scheduled between 7-15 September. The series kicked off with Event #1: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em, beginning with the smallest buy-in that we’re going to see over the next week.

With such high buy-ins, only the best in the business will be a part of this series and yesterday, with a total of 69 entries registering to Event #1. The registration period ended, and we also reached the pay-outs stage by the end of Day 1, with just 6 players left to resume on Day 2 later today.

The top 10 players are being paid out a minimum cash prize of $20,700 and the final six will all have their eyes on $193k top prize. Leading the chip counts at the moment is USA’s Brandon Adams, a pro with over $3 million in live cashes, and his most recent big win coming in April, winning at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.

6. Isaac Haxton – 410,000
