SVS Day 5 crowns 5 winners on Spartan

The five-day fever ends here! The Spartan Value Series (SVS) hosted by Spartan Poker especially for the low/mid stakes player, giving each one an opportunity to showcase their skill and win big! The series with a huge guarantee of INR 52+ Lakhs came to a standstill last night! So, here is a quick summary on SVS Day 5…

SVS Event #21 INR 50k GTD

Being the first event of the final day, the tournament registered a pretty decent field of 272 entries for a buy-in INR 165. The prize pool was shared among the top 23 places, each receiving a min-cash of INR 580. Claiming the first-place prize money of INR 8,776 was ‘one of A kind’ pushing ‘ILOVEYOUMARYJANE’ to the runner-up position. In Level #30, the players settled for a 4-way deal. With ‘one of A kind’ carrying the largest stack of 301k takes away the first-place prize money.

SVS Event #22 INR 1.5 Lakhs GTD

Observing a massive field of 396 players, each entering for a buy-in of INR 385. The anonymous player ‘maaya’ claimed the title yesterday after defeating ‘bahubali007’ who ended up in the runner-up position. The competition saw a 2-way deal, and that’s when ‘maaya’ accomplished the second tournament with an impressive 1.13 million chips.

SVS Event #23 INR 2.5 Lakhs GTD

The anonymous player ‘whodahellru1’ excelled the evening after defeating Rishi Gupta aka ‘BollywoodNight’ in heads-up for healthy prize money. The buy-in amount increased to become INR 770 pulling out a total of 313 players. The guarantee slightly surpassed and a higher prize pool of INR 2.19 Lakhs was drawn to be shared among the top 27 places receiving a minimum amount of INR 2,500.

In level 33, blinds at 7,000/ 14,000 ante 1,400, both players enter the final hand. ‘whodahellru1’ holding 3h 5c up against Gupta with Kc Ah. The former checks on flop 5s Ad 5h after hitting a set and so does the latter. ‘whodahellru1’ checks again while his opponent finds two pairs with Ks on turn and bets 23k. 2c on the river saw Gupta putting 57k bet and ‘whodahellru1’ putting his entire stack on the table followed by the latter. And that’s when the anonymous player shows his trip Fives and takes home a significant title.

SVS Event #24 Main Event INR 10 Lakhs GTD

The Main Event came with the biggest guarantee of a massive 10 Lakhs! Enticing a vast field of 538 with a buy-in of INR 2,200. The top 47 places received a share from the prize pool INR 10.76 Lakhs. The anonymous player ‘chitti3.0’ is among the regular grinder on Spartan Poker who emerged victorious after defeating another online crusher Myron Pereira aka ‘mehhhhh’ in heads-up.

Devoting several hours into the tournament, both players reached the final hand. ‘chitti3.0’ holding pair of Aces against Pereira clutching onto his pair of Eights. Pre-flop saw both players putting their entire stack in the middle. The board ran 6d Js Jh Ac Ts and that’s when ‘chitti2.0’ shows his full house AAAJJ over his opponent’s two pairs of Jacks and Eights, ultimately railing out Pereira to grab the title and winner’s prize money.

SVS Event #25 Electric Big Daddy INR 5 Lakhs GTD

SVS Day 5 closed with Electric Big Daddy being the last tournament of the series registering 511 players, all of whom entered for a buy-in of INR 990. Topping the day and claiming the last title was ‘Bholebabaa’ who beat ‘kidpoker0340’ in heads-up. The concluding tournament saw the top 47 places in the money, receiving a min-cash of INR 2,850.

The final hand reached in level 45, ‘Bholebabaa’ (Jc Ad) carrying a larger stack of 3.1 million up against ‘kidpoker0340’ (Tc Ah) with 1.9 million chips. Both players draw their respective blinds and the former raises 96k followed by the latter who goes all-in. The board runs 4s 8s 5d Jh 4c, ‘Bholebabaa’ shows his two pairs of Jacks and Fours against his opponent’s cards. Ultimately marking the end of the tournament with his win and carrying the enormous prize money along with attaching a valuable victory to his poker career.
