The latest champion defeated ‘lol this guy’ in heads-up and settled in the runner-up position.
Spartan Poker’s Sunday flagship event GPS #38 Sunday SuperStack INR 40 Lakh GTD attracted a field of 824 runners who paid INR 5,500 to hunt for the first-place prize money. Creating a bigger prize pool of INR 41.20 Lakh the top 79 places finished in the money. Powering through the field to take home the largest slice was Anish Suri aka ‘anishsuri’ who eliminated ‘d@enareys’ in heads-up and added a valuable title to his poker CV.
Just as we know the rules of Spartan Poker’s feature Destiny, a smaller version Destiny Jr 2.0 Finale INR 1.5L GTD concluded last night after crowning the ultimate winner! A total of 10 players took their seats at 9 pm yesterday and within a few hours the top two Arun Karthik aka ‘Rohini Sharma’ and Vivek Singh aka ‘KasolHieghts’ earned INR 90K and INR 60K respectively.
For a buy-in of INR 5,500, PokerBaazi’s PMVS #24 Main Event Superstack INR 50 Lakh GTD attracted a massive field of INR 1,030 entries surpassing the guarantee to create INR 51.5 Lakh prize pool. Money reached the top 126 places who walked out with at least INR 7,725. At 4:20 am, the last man standing was circuit grinder Ujjwal Narwal aka ‘Mr_Robot’ who eliminated ‘Saranraj1987’ in heads-up and clinched to the winner’s prize money of INR 8.76 Lakh while his opponent secured INR 6.14 lakh.
Once again, the guarantee was surpassed in PMVS #25 BSS Megastack INR 10 Lakh GTD on PokerBaazi which pulled out 415 entries after each chipped in INR 2,750. Outlasting the field to grab the title along with INR 2.09 Lakh in prize money was Rohit Setia aka ‘acesinyourfaces’ who defeated Sandy Lamba aka ‘Ziigmund’ in heads-up. The latter banked INR 1.46 Lakh, securing the runner-up position.
Online reg Srihari Bang took down Sunday flagship tourney Big Slick INR 15 Lakh GTD on Adda52. The event garnered a field of 602 entries out of which only top 62 spots received a paycheck of minimum INR 8,088. Bang playing under the username ‘zombieballs’ earned INR 2.74 Lakh adding another title to his already illustrious poker CV while his opponent Ram Kakkar aka ‘mowgumotu’ settled in the second place for INR 1 Lakh.
Another attraction on Adda52 last night was Adda52 Millions INR 25 Lakh GTD which drew 283 entries for INR 11K buy-in. Coming out on top was Manish Lakhotia aka ‘newkidpoker’ who beat Goonjan Mall aka ‘gmtesting’ in heads-up to seize INR 7.24 Lakh for his victory while Mall banked INR 4.31 Lakh for his efforts. The top 30 spots also received a paycheck of INR 22K.
The biggest winner of the night who boosted his bankroll by adding a hefty INR 25 Lakh in prize money was well-known circuit grinder Sanat Mehrotra aka ‘mehro2511’. Adda52’s Full House Finale INR 1 Crore GTD latest winner eliminated ‘sanjays114’ in heads-up and clinched to the valuable title while his opponent received INR 13.29 Lakh. The top 193 players also bagged a share from the final prize pool, locking at least INR 12K in min-cash.
PokerStars’ Sunday Special PKO INR 20 Lakh GTD attracted a total of 414 entrants who paid INR 5,500 buy-in. The top 71 players added INR 4K to their bankroll. Triumphing the field after intense hours of grinding was Gaurav Mittal aka ‘FISH@SH4RK’ who conquered the tournament taking home INR 1.86 Lakh in prize money after knocking out Aditya Sushant aka ‘serendipity789’ in heads-up who secured the runner-up position for INR 1.36 Lakh.
A total of 193 hopefuls took their seat on PokerStars’ Sunday Highroller INR 20 Lakh GTD which displayed a buy-in of INR 11K. Money reached the top 31 places but the one to take away the largest chunk of the final prize pool was ‘prawnpickle’ who defeated Sandeep Varma aka ‘effuno007’ in heads-up for INR 3.97 Lakh in prize money. The latter banked INR 2.94 Lakh.
