Sumit ‘Hammer_Head’ Sapra Wins Feb’s Mega Suits

Holidays and Sundays are ideal for poker websites to host their biggest tournaments as most players are home and ready to grind for hours and hours. Similarly, this Sunday saw Adda52 hosting their popular tournament called Mega Suits, where an INR 30 lakh GTD was up for grabs, including an INR 10 lakh GTD for the first-place finish.

Playing under the username ‘Hammer_Head’ on Adda52, it was Sumit Sapra who ultimately won the Mega Suits tournament, beating a total of 669 entries to win the top prize of INR 10 lakh. The top 45 places were to be paid and Sapra bagged the highest prize, beating ‘chishi’ in heads up.

Sapra has been doing well in the live poker circuit as well, recently finishing 20th in the Baby Dragon Event at Macau Poker Cup (MPC) 28, and also finishing 16th in the Doupai Cup Main Event in Macau. Gutshot had a word with the poker pro after his Mega Suits win on Adda52. Here’s what he had to say:

“I feel that Adda has done a great job in improving the value proposition of playing tournaments on their website by improving their structures, adding benefits like leaderboard prizes, TDS refunds and of course constant software improvements. Mega Suits is one of my favourite events on Adda and it was a tough battle on the final table with Adda52 pro Amit Jain, also having a good stack. 3 handed play went on for quite a while and it was really swingy as well.”

Speaking on his victory in general, Sapra said, “The win was a nice warm up before the upcoming DPT in Goa and I hope to carry the momentum forward and do well there as well.”
