Stephen Song Ships TLPT Main Event

Stephen Song is on a roll. He added one more achievement to his already long list by shipping the first The Lord Poker Tournaments Main Event, the first one – and thereby etching his name in the history of the tournament and poker.

The total number of entries in this tournament was 191, and the GTD was a whopping $3 million. Twenty-nine players were in the money in the event. The series saw some of the biggest names in the industry, including  Ivan Zhang, Renji Mao, Sean Ooi and others and TLPT ambassadors Dan Cates and Quang Zho. The tournament is currently happening in Jeju.

Song is one of the most popular and successful poker players in the world, ranked 182nd on a global list. He is 83rd on the US All-Time Money List, and the Greenwich native ranks 1st on the Connecticut USA All-Time Money List. He has moved up the ladder remarkably quickly, with his first live poker cash out being on in 2016, when he shipped an event of the October Poker Weekend in Verona, taking home $32,957.

Since then, Song has had several cashes, including some at the grandest stages of poker, the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour. In his short time at the poker tables, he has had a whopping 275 cash-outs, making him one of the most successful poker players.
