Building on the success of the BGMI Masters series, Star Sports aims to further ignite India’s booming esports scene. Vikram Passi, Head of Sports Marketing at Disney Star, emphasised the network’s commitment to fostering a wider appreciation for esports, not just among existing fans but also with a younger audience.

Ralf Reichert, CEO of esports at the World Cup Foundation, expressed his excitement about bringing the EWC to India’s passionate gaming community. He believes this partnership will not only inspire future champions but potentially pave the way for an Indian team to claim ultimate victory.
The opening broadcast kicks off on 3rd July at 10 PM IST, featuring Call of Duty: Warzone with Hindi commentary on Star Sports First and the Star Sports YouTube channel. Starting from Week 3 (18th July onwards), the EWC will be telecast every week at 9 PM IST across Star Sports 2, Star Sports First, and the Star Sports YouTube channel. Hindi commentary will be available for select games, including Call of Duty: Warzone (Week 1) and Counter-Strike 2 (Week 3).
