The German poker pro took down the $5,000 buy-in event and earned $2 Million to pocket his first-ever WSOP bracelet. After qualifying for the WSOP Paradise 2023 ME, the GGPoker qualifier got the better of Michael Sklenicka in a heads-up within four hours of the final day to ship the title.

Speaking with PokerNews after the win, Zegal said, “I was so lucky, the cards just fell my way all the time. I think I played well too, but obviously (there’s) tons of luck … “This is what you call life-changing money, I guess.”
