Spartan Poker is here again with the most awaited Spartan Poker Series (SSS) for a weeklong series attracting a massive number of players. September has crowned several winners so far and the hottest online series is right back in action!
Day 2 of SSS enticed fantastic poker players in the country and it was yesterday that saw the conclusion of Day 2 (Events #7- #12) of this series that guarantees huge prize money. The 7 days series has 44 exciting events lined up. Here’s a complete summary of SSS Day 2…
The series began on a modest note with an INR 90k GTD tournament. A total of 167 unique players signed up for the tournament, all chipping in the INR 330 buy-in amount. The tournament was hosted with the top 27 places being paid. Player ‘madnutscrazy’ emerged victorious and shipped the tournament, beating ‘RISHIJAIN1984’ in heads-up to bag this title.
The afternoon event began and buy-in of INR 2,200 with a decent number of 195 entries registering. A prize pool of INR 3,90,000 was drawn to be shared among the top 17 players. The tournament saw the rise of Faiz Alam under the name ‘DrStrange’ winning the competition and adding a healthy addition to his poker bankroll. ‘akshaythedaniel’ was titled the runner-up for the event. Alam is a frequent face in Spartan Poker’s online tournaments. He took the title with 55 and K kicker.
The third tournament of the day registered 187 players who entered the event with a buy-in of INR 550. A prize pool of INR 2,07,500 was drawn to be shared among the top 31 players. The champion Rhys Souza aka ‘misko’ took home the title after beating ‘chethan97’ and placing the latter on the second position.
Yesterday’s tournament crowned player ‘Pokerface63’ as the winner topping a field 86 unique players. The tournament demanded a buy-in of INR 880 and only 15 people received a paycheck shared from the prize pool of INR 1,53,600. Pokerface63 won the title after beating ‘Chinmoku’ in heads-up. The player won the final hand by showing a straight, K-9.
The Event #11 was a featured tournament for Tuesday and saw a massive field of 708 entries (re-entries 135, rebuys 249). The biggest tournament buy-in was INR 3,300 and a prize pool of INR 21,24,000 was drawn, to be distributed among the top 63 spots. Such an ambitious amount was won by Vaibhav Sharma aka ‘Nikka Zaildar’ bagging the top prize of the night. Sharma defeated ‘akx’, with three of a kind, KKK. akx received the title of runner-up.
The day ended with the last event being Hi-Fi INR 6 Lakhs GTD tournament. The guarantee was surpassed, and a new prize pool of INR 8,29,500 was drawn. A total of 595 entries (88 re-entries, 253 rebuys) were attracted and the top 45 places were paid. The tournament was excelled by Shravan Chhabria aka ‘D.Trump04’ who grabbed the title and defeated Laksh Pal Singh aka ‘LuckyBhai$’ in heads-up. Chhabria won the final hand by two pairs, KKTT. Chhabria is a well-known community personality and has an impressive record in live as well as virtual tournaments. He has bagged numerous major online titles in the past and has over $50k+ in recorded live cashes till now.
