Sreekanth Narayan, Bhanu Prakash Top Day 1 At National Poker Champion 2025


Day 1 of the National Poker Champion 2025 has wrapped up, and we have seen two poker players snatch victory to lead the points board: Sreekanth Narayan of Kerala and Bhanu Prakash of Karnataka. Day 1 was divided into two games. Sreekanth Narayan and Bhanu Prakash topped the points list.

With two games covered on Day 1 and Day 2 having a bounty event, the game is just about heating up. The series is being streamed live on JioHotstar, and PokerBaazi is giving live updates on everything that’s happening via their app.

National Poker Series 2025

The National Poker Series 2025 was a unique poker tournament series hosted on PokerBaazi. The top 12 winners from 12 states will now battle it out for the National Poker Champion. The grand prize for the showdown is ₹1 Crore.

The poker series marked its fifth edition in 2025, and PokerBaazi hosted it from 23rd February to 24th March. It had a staggering ₹100 Crore guaranteed prize pool, attracting over 5.3 lakh entries across 191 tournaments. Bhavye Mittal shipped the Main Event, taking home ₹94.26 Lakh.

This edition introduced the “Never Play Second” campaign, emphasising the pursuit of excellence and the coveted gold medal. A highlight is the inaugural National Poker Champion (NPC) Showdown, held in Goa from 13th to 17th April.

This exclusive event saw the top 12 players from various states compete for a ₹1 Crore winner-takes-all prize. The champion’s victory also secured free entry for all players from their state into another ₹1 Crore event, fostering regional pride and competition.

This unique series started online, and the next leg is taking place live in Goa. It remains to be seen who will take the most significant amount of the prize pool. Series like these are definitely adding to the mainstream value of the game and are working towards creating awareness and acceptance for the game and the gaming culture.
