Somashekar Ships Megastack Event At WPT Championship Cambodia 2025

S0mashekar Khurkepally has shipped the Megastack Event at the WPT Championship Cambodia 2025, taking home ₹25,96,454 in prize money. The winner’s list saw more Indians in the top 10 winners list. Harsh Bubna ranked #4, taking home ₹16,67,983, and Nishant Kumar took home ₹5,84,653.

Somashekar KM Ranking At Megastack Event of WPT Championship Cambodia 2025

Somashekar’s best cash to date is $18,567, which he achieved at the World Poker Tour Prime Cambodia in 2022 when he shipped Event #11. His last live cash was at Event #24 of the same tournament, where he ranked #13 and took home $5,500. It’s refreshing to see multiple Indian names on the winner’s list, something that is bound to add to the confidence of the winners and aspiring Indian players who aim to one day reach the felts of some of the biggest poker tournaments in the world.

The WPT Championship Cambodia 2025 is the first event of the year on the World Poker Tour’s calendar. Running from 6 to 24 February, the tournament culminates with the Main Event, held from 19th to 24th NagaWorld in Cambodia. Featuring a guaranteed prize pool of $1,500,000, the event promises intense competition. It will be interesting to see how many more Indian players leave their mark on the tournament.
