Sikkim’s Casino Mahjong to host Christmas POKER Party

Casino Mahjong is a well-known casino situated at the Mayfair Spa Resorts and Casino in the picturesque North-Eastern state of Sikkim, India. The casino, over the years, has become one of the marquee venues in Sikkim where Majoing Aquarium Poker Championship featuring INR 1 Crore in guaranteed prize pool was held at the casino in the beginning of 2017.

Although Goa is the number one hotspot for poker and other gambling games in India, Sikkim has also seen quite a happening few years in recent times. With the inauguration of Sikkim’s Pakyong airport recently, Sikkim has seen a huge uptick in revenues in the casino industry as well as tourism in general.

Casino Mahjong is doing it again, this time with its ‘Christmas POKER Party’. The party will run from 24^th to 29^th December and will be a cash tables extravaganza, where lots of action-packed tables will see cash flowing. The adrenaline-rushing festival is expected to attract a significant turn-out. Among the attendees, Nitin Sivmaga, Kalpish Mehta, Girish Issrani, Hetal Desai, Lokesh Thakkar and Rahul Agarwal have confirmed their presence at the festival.

The cash tables featuring in the 6-day fest will have three slabs of buy-ins – INR 25K, INR 50K and INR 1 Lakh. Enthusiastic players who make a cash deposit beforehand will also be eligible for free accommodation in the resort itself, along with air tickets.

Nihal Singh, poker events specialist and the creator of this festival, has plenty of experience in conducting poker festivals, having been engaged in managing poker rooms and running poker tournaments in the past. He has worked with a Bangalore-based poker room for four years and has previously conducted four major tournaments in metros like Pune, Bangalore, Jaipur and also in Sikkim at one point.

Sikkim is already in liberal with its gambling laws and with its casinos hosting exciting events and series in the state, Sikkim is looking at a flourishing casino business in the future.
