Manila Megastack 19 is on, and on Day 3 of the proceedings, an Indian is on the winner’s list. The series is currently underway at Okada Manila; it began on the 19th of this month and will conclude on the 29th of September. Siddharth Mishra shipped Event #12, PHP 12,000 Pot Limit Omaha, which had a total prize pool of PHP 532,000 (~₹7,94,382). Mishra was at the top of the list and took home the trophy. Here’s the list of the top cashes in the tournament:
Number | Name | Nationality | Amount |
1 | Siddharth Mishra | India | PHP 173,000 (~₹2,58,314) |
2 | Shiomi Shimon | Unknown | PHP 1,14,500 |
3 | Kyungmo Nam | South Korea | PHP 77,000 |
4 | Keita Kitamura | Japan | PHP 58,000 |
5 | Euryd Rivera | Philippines | PHP 45,500 |
6 | Karen Tung | Hong Kong | PHP 36,000 |
7 | Jongyeon Kim | South Korea | PHP 28,146 |
Siddharth is the only Indian on the winner’s list out of 52 entries. He has had an eventful time in the series. At the PHP 12000 Event 14: Double Stack PHP 1 Million GTD, he ranked eighth and earned PHP 63,000 (~₹94,068). According to Hendonmob, his first cash was in 2018, when he placed eighth at the ₹ 20,000 NLH-Megastack Turbo and took home ₹64,500 at the WPT DeepStacks in Goa, India.
Another Indian player was earlier at the top of the series’ winners list. Vishwajit Patil shipped the PHP 10,000 Event #5 NLHE Turbo. The total prize pool was PHP 247,000, which was divided among the top five players. He took home PHP 94,544 (~₹1,41,167). He also became the proud owner of a PokerStars Spade trophy. This is a unique feat for Patil, as this is his first live title, with research suggesting that it is his first live cash as well, and he topped the list right off the felts.
Patil showed all the skills and determination that make winners out of poker players, and he is certainly someone to look out for. He took only five hands to eliminate the remaining 4 players. It’s heartening to see a young player in the money, as it is an inspiration for players all over the world.
Will the series uncover more such first-time winners? Time will tell.

Another Indian who was in the money was Chirag Shah, who finished 30th on the money list of Event #3 Kickoff. That event had a PHP 3 Million GTD, which bloated up to PHP 4 Million as the game progressed. Out of 325 entries, only 50 saw money, and Shah took home PHP 30,000 (~₹44,794). He has been within the top 10 of the winners list several times, including snagging the 3rd place at the €150 NLH – DSO Basic, Unibet Deepstack Open, Barcelona.
Several other events are lined up at the series, including Event #50 on 29th September, with a PHP 100,000 buy-in, and the NLH High Roller, which will run on 28th and 29th September, with a PHP 1,500,000 buy-in. It remains to be seen how many other Indians pop up in the winners’ list as the series progresses. The total GTD for this tournament is an incredible PHP 37 Million.
