Siddharth Karia Finishes 9th At APPT Manila National


APPT Manila 2024 is currently underway, and the events are bringing out some of the biggest names in the industry as winners. After all, the series has attracted most of them to their felts. And last night, at the APPT Manila Championship, Siddharth Karia snagged 9th rank, taking home $7,390 (~₹6 Lakh). At the top of the payout list was Johnathan Chetty of South Africa, who took home $70,600. The total entries for this event were 398, and the announced GTD was ₱15,000,000, while the final prize was ₱20,847,240.

Karia was the first casualty of the final table, losing out to Chen Zhen of China; Chen had 5 5 to Karia’s A J , and the table opened up with T 8 4 4 t

Chen survived several hands and actually snagged the second rank in the winner’s list, taking home $43,950. After Karia’s exit, there was no other Indian in the fray.

The series is currently taking place in Okada Manila in the Philippines; it started on the 18th and will continue until the 27th. The series is sure to be full of exciting names as winners, and we will keep you posted about all updates.

Karia is sure to be pretty satisfied with his Manila outing until now. The Indian poker player has total live earnings of $2,88,993, and his best live cash until now is $30,324, which he achieved this year at the USOP Hai Phong in the NLH event. Karia has played in domestic as well as foreign series, and his first cash, according to Hendon Mob, was at Event #11 of Asia Championship of Poker – Platinum Series XV (ACOP), Macau, when he stood 2nd and took home $ 5,285. Apart from USOP, he has also taken part in WSOP and WPT events and has seen substantial amounts of money in them. 

All these wins are a definite positive for all poker players and enthusiasts who follow the game and one day dream of playing at some of the biggest events and series. Karia has once again made the Indian poker players proud of his achievements. It remains to be seen where he will play again and whether he is up for some more appearances at APPT Manila 2024.
