Some of the best poker action is happening in Cyprus, with the top poker players in the world giving it their best try at the PokerGo Tour event, the Super High Roller Bowl Cyprus. And Seth Davies pulled off an incredible victory, taking home the prize of $3,206,000.
24 players signed up for the $300,000 buy-in event, and the prize pool bulged up to $7,056,000. The Super High Roller Bowl IX had players like Phil Ivey, Jeremy Ausmus, and others turn up at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Spa in Cyprus to compete.
Lenoard Maue took fourth place with $750,000, leaving Seth, Juan Pardo, and Jeremy Ausmus in the hunt for the $3.2 Million first-place prize. Pardo raised the chips from 40,000 to 90,000 with K ❤ and 7 ❤ .
That led to Davies, who had 8 ♦ and 7 ♣ calling, and the flop was of 4 ♣, 4 ♦ and 3 ♣. Davies’ eight-high dominated the game, with Ausmus’ Kx and 9x losing 60/40 to Pardo’s Ax and 6x. The heads-up play was between Pardo and Davis. Pardo took second place at $1.9 million, and Ausmus had to remain content at $1,200,000.
