Sergii Karpov leads Day 1C of Event #15: €550 Colossus NLHE

Running parallel to the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is €550 Colossus NLHE wrapping up Day 1C the previous night. Europe is experiencing some of the greatest poker action at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, quite close to the end of the prestigious festival.

The field escalated to another set of 128 entries in the 15^th bracelet event, each paying a buy-in of €550. But as the event progressed, the field was cut short to 12 players moving ahead to Day 2. Undoubtedly, the last event captured multiple attention with 143 players in Day 1A followed by 133 on Day 1B creating a current size of 404 entries in total. After 18 levels of 30 minutes, Day 1C saw the emergence of Ukraine’s Sergii Karpov leading with a massive 732,000 chips.

With only $36,660 total live earnings, the Ukrainian retained his position in the final 15 minutes of the play. Maintaining his good shape, while other bracelet winners like Daniel Negreanu, Robert Campbell, Anson Tsang re-entered but left without any success.

Other notable players running to grab the last title of WSOPE include Darkhan Rakhymzhanov (435,000) and Kristof Lenart (400,000), four-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb (210,000), Eshed Hadaya (207,000), Ion Naicu (176,000), and Stefan Rothdauscher (152,00).
