Santhosh Suvarna has once again made the Indian contingent proud. He was on the Final Table of the Main Event of Triton Poker Jeju 2025 and was in the top 5 of the ITM list, taking home a whopping $2,140,000 (~₹18 Crore). This is one of the biggest hauls by an Indian player this year, and players will have to go a long way to match this one.
The Main Event was one of the most remarkable in poker circles, as Wenjie Huang, who was playing his first Triton event, shipped the ME and took home $5,555,000 (~₹48 Crore). The event had a record-breaking 285 entries, and the prize pool was an eye-watering $28.5 Million.

Suvarna had a fantastic 2024, and his streak seems to be seeping into 2025 as well. In 2025, at the same series, he took around ₹1 Crore at Event #8. He was also the GPI Indian Player of the Year for 2024. Suvarna has been a class apart for a while now, what with being the only Indian to have snagged two WSOP bracelets.
He took his first one in 2023 when he shipped the NLHE 50K Diamond High Roller at WSOPE 2023 and then the NLHE Super High Roller at WSOP 2024 in Las Vegas. su
With this win, Suvarna, already one of the highest-paid Indians of all time, adds to his humongous bankroll. His total cashouts stand at a whopping $17 Million. It now remains to be seen where he decides to feature next.
The Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju 2025, held from February 26 to March 15 at Jeju Shinhwa World in South Korea, has been a landmark event in the poker world. The series featured 18 high-stakes tournaments, with buy-ins ranging from $15,000 to $150,000, attracting elite players globally.
A significant highlight was the $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, which set a new record with 285 entries, surpassing the previous high of 216. This unprecedented turnout resulted in a substantial prize pool, reflecting the event’s growing prestige.

Notable performances included Thailand’s Punnat Punsri, who secured a title and earned approximately $2.4 million. China’s Huang Wenjie emerged victorious in the Main Event, claiming an impressive $5.1 million. German professional Christoph Vogelsang finished second in the $125,000 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, adding $2.26 million to his earnings.
The series also featured a $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event, where 64-year-old Tom Aksel Bedell triumphed, showcasing the game’s inclusivity across age groups.
